  • The First World War was fought between people from many different cultures and backgrounds (micro- nations). It affected the everyday lives of men, women and children at the time and for many years later. Bring your own stories or come and discover the stories of others. The event provides an opportunity to experience how historians piece together the past and to find out about your own family involvement. There will also be an opportunity to discuss and debate the impact of the war then and now.

  • Most people find that they wish they had more time in a day. This workshop will show participants how to organize their lives and find those hidden moments. Participants will learn how to establish routines, set goals, create an efficient environment, and use time-honored planning and organizational tools to maximize their personal productivity. Personal Productivity is a goal most of us have. Through this workshop your participants will be on the right track in achieving that goal. Some people blame everything that goes wrong in their life on something or someone else, but through this workshop your participants will take ownership and begin to lead a more productive life.

When your car breaks down, do you ever dread having to visit the garage?

or do you just want to be more confident in maintaining your car?

If you have said yes, to any of the questions, you are not alone

In 2015 a study found women are charged more than men when they go to the garage by up to 28%

For International Women's Day, we found a solution.

Diversity House and Kwik Fit are teaming up to host a Basic Car Care course for women.

  • The course is for adults in the community who would like to learn or improve their sewing skills. Would you like to be able to mend or upcycle your clothes? This course is for people who have been sewing and would like to improve their sewing skill, new learners who want to gain another skill or people who would like to use the skill acquired to start a business or just save yourself some money, e.g. gift items, decorations etc. People will be learning about different types of stitches used in sewing.
