Launch of The Centre for Women & Girls’ Innovation and Empowerment (CWGIE)
On the 8th March 2023 during International Women’s Day, Diversity House officially launched its latest project ‘Centre for Women & Girls’ Innovation and Empowerment’ which was opened by Cllr Simon Clark, Mayor of Swale and Founder/CEO of Diversity House, Christine Locke.
It was a day filled with stools, showcases and workshops with support from Kent Fire and Rescue, Natwest Bank, Kent Police, John Frewin Opticians. We also had prestigious guest speakers including Lady Colgrain (Lord Lieutenant of Kent), Sarah Stephen (Councillor for WoodStock Ward Swale), Michelle Fullbrook (Founder of The Painted Pearl), Balwinder Singh (Kent Fire and Rescue), Ope Oludare (Fashion Designer), Oyin Kalejaiye (Thrive Parenting), Debra Allcock Taylor (Director of Directory of Social Change).
